I love the State of Michigan, which is lucky given that I rarely leave it.  It is not that I hate vacations, I enjoy being away, I just don’t care for the traveling part of my vacations.  Financially, I simply have to avoid traveling for now so instead of going to Vegas, I am trying to visit friends and relatives at least once a month.  Almost all of whom are scattered across Michigan.

The intent of this blog is to find those little gems of interest, visit, and let others know what Michigan has to offer.  Not on a grand scale, everyone knows about place such as Traverse City and Mackinac Island.  But what specifically did I do and find in those places and what is the history behind them.
